This gauge features a centimeter and inches scale, a roundness chart, a chart for estimating percentage composition, 6 common Munsell soil colors, and a size classification chart with actual sand grains from coarse to silt fused to the plastic. Waterproof with a nylon string for carrying. Measures 12 x 17 cm.

For classifying sand from coarse to silt. Flexible, water-resistant plastic card helps determine size classification, bed thickness and roundness of sand granules. Includes field check list to organize field notes, geological time scale; two carbonate classification charts. Actual sand grains are fused to the plastic 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" with lanyard.

All Weather Rain Gauge

Measure precipitation to the hundreth of an inch in this acrylic rain gauge. Rain collects in the inner tube, then once an inch has fallen, overflows to the outer cylinder. The unit will hold up to a total of five inches of precipitation. Mounts easily to a post and measures 14 1/2"H x 4" in diameter.
