Field Ranger

You can rely on Fieldranger to accurately measure distances
travelled in rough country or forest conditions. Designed
to use a 6 kilometer spool of topofil (similar to sewing thread).
The Fieldranger has the largest thread capacity and its operation
is trouble-free.
To measure, simply clip the Fieldranger to your belt, tie
the thread to a fixed object at your starting point, and begin
walking in your chosen direction. As the topofil pulls out,
a counter continuously displays the distance that has been
travelled. The six kilometers of topofil on the spool provide
plenty of linear measuring before a replacement spool is required.
Measuring with Fieldranger leaves your hands free to do other
tasks. At the end of the measuring snap off the thread. No
need the rewind, the fiber quickly degrades.
Fieldranger has a 5 digit display and is available for the
same price calibrated in either meters or feet.
